Ms. Berkus received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arizona and received her Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law. She was an Associate Editor of the Southwestern Law Journal, Journal of Americas.
Ms. Berkus was admitted to practice in California in December 2004 and joined Oldman, Cooley, Sallus, Birnberg, Coleman & Gold, LLP in May 2007 as a litigation associate. She represents and advises clients regarding the proper administration of complex trusts, estates, guardianships and conservatorships. When necessary she handles litigation – including attending and defending depositions, drafting pleadings and motions and appearing in court. In addition she handles conservatorship matters and trust administration as well as working with young families in drafting estate plans.
Ms. Berkus is a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association, San Fernando Valley Bar Association and Los Angeles County Bar Association.
She is a member of the Mentoring Association of Mother Attorneys of Los Angeles. Julie won a Super Lawyer Rising Star Award in 2015, 2016, 2017 and a Super Lawyer recognition in 2018.
